Holiday Greetings & Happy New Year

As 2025 closes and we look back on another busy year for Fulford Seniors, we can be so grateful for this community in which we live. From the programs that we have underway at the centre, to the

continuing association with Fulford Hall, we watch as the community comes together to play and to

work and learn. At the centre, we explore mystery stories, stitching together over tea, exploring island history and develop incredible competitive carpet bowling skills. We have shared wonderful meals together and celebrated special events. We have also addressed new ventures, including hosting an extension of the famed Fulford Christmas Artisan Craft Fair with enthusiastic feedback from grateful vendors regarding our hospitality. They hope this will become an annual event for them.

Meanwhile, we have worked to establish opportunities for further growth into the community. With

support from SSI Community Services, we renovated private office space for confidential consultation with those seeking support to stay safely in their own homes. The secure space will also house electronic equipment purchased with funds from the SS Foundation; equipment that will allow interested groups to share programming from a broader service area.

For these last few days of the year, we can remember 2025 for the lunches we shared

together, particularly at this years end. Driving by the hall on Christmas Eve, I saw the many cars

outside driven by the volunteers who were busily preparing the annual dinner for the community

gathering in the main hall on Christmas Day. We are reminded that a community is people working

together to ensure everyone is included and cared for, and that we are truly blessed. As we move into 2026, we hope you will join us and enjoy a warm and safe gathering place at the centre where you can always find a friend.

Happy New Year everyone. We look forward to seeing you all in 2026 as we continue to learn and to grow together.

Your exec.
